3rd Wave
[Jones is a deep, deep sleeper but he wakes with the sunrise. Each day is a new, hellish experience on the Barge but he scowls and stomps his way through them regardless.
Imagine his surprise when this morning he opens his door - releasing a small flood of his usual seawater, which, thanks to Maintenance, is contained by a make-shift dam - and spots children running about.
Not the handful of children he knows to be part of the Barge. New ones. And smaller people are easier to bully than full-grown ones.
Resolving to go about his day unbothered by the mechanics of the Admiral, Davy instead storms his way to the mess hall, literally using his claw to forcefully swat aside anyone smaller than four feet]
I'll thank whoever remains their true, full size to keep the vast majority of whelps under control. I've a mind to toss them over the side one by one; no ship is in need of this many cabin boys. No navy is.
Mind your brats. Or I will.

There are lines you just don't cross... [ He sneers again; his loathing for Davy runs deep, and he really should be better--but dammit, the guy just pushes all his buttons. ] But then, if you're more squid than man, then who can fault you for being without spine?

[ Megamind's flare of real rage, real temper -- are rare. Exceedingly so. He'll bluster and fuss, but to get him to shouting mad take skill. Saying you're just going to smack around random kids you find? ]
[ It's a short cut to a flushed, angry alien; if he could puff up and make himself look more threatening, he will. ]
I don't care if one of the little ones pulls your tentacles or asks rude questions about your odious aroma, you'll keep your hands to yourself or you'll lose them! Touch a child and it won't be Zero you go to. It'll be a race to see which one of us gets you first: Beatrix, Ivy or me! And since Ivy's on the top deck, Bea and I've got head starts....
Honestly? You better hope it's me. Beatrix will, in no uncertain terms, wreck you like the Hesperus.
Are we clear, Mister Jones?

... and the one time it is something wrong done to us, [ like being raised in a prison ] we need to learn to see the cycle for what it is and get out of it.
So why don't you stop threatening the kids, go play your organ, and think instead of being such a tool?
