Davy Jones has been looking it over for the past day, and is thus far unimpressed. A way to talk to the rest of the crew? What was the point? They had nothing worthwhile to discuss]


Pardon the intrusion of an old pirate captain, but I believe I've requested to see his grace the Admiral, if he so deigns to get his fat arse off the bridge and address my concerns.

Bah - you think a day's stay in the brig will ease th' way of our voyage together? You think your pathetic lot of untested boys, women and slaves is enough to keep Davy Jones at bay for long? You're more of a fool than I'd taken you for.

And the next bilge rat what comes down here prattling on about inmates and other worlds is the next I mark for death.

I doubt he'd be very helpful, though. He might give you a cookie.

[Blink.] Um. [Jean makes a circle with her fingers.] It's a sort of - it's a baked treat. It'll have chocolate chips or nuts, or it could be oatmeal or sugar. ...Other people call them biscuits.

And your Admiral will not set me free, will not even have the fortitude to exchange words-ah, but he will hand me a biscuit like an errant child and send me on my way?

Basically. [A slight shrug.] He's kind of an ass.

[She can say that kind of thing when she's not in the X-Mansion.]

He is more'n that. He is an abhorrent liar and an incompetent sailor.

I don't think he's ever outright lied.

He lied when he broke my deal to go to my watery grave! He lied when he separated me from my right to die in peace!

That's not lying, that's just being a controlling jerk who thinks he knows what's best for everybody.

[Her voice softens.] I'm sorry he took your choice away, I really am.

[Her expression goes harsh.]

Neither does attacking people.

That teaches lessons. Lessons sorely needed when a ship's admiral does not make his voice heard among his upstart crew.

No, it really just pisses people off and makes things harder for you.

The Admiral? Doesn't care.

Then I'll do as I please, if he can't be bothered.

You can do what you want, but I think you probably deserve better than being stuck in Zero all the time.
