[This week on the Barge, an older, somewhat new face is lurking about, obsessively checking a fob watch chained to his pocket and walking awkwardly through the halls. Those who were here in October during the mirror Barge may recognize the man as a disguised Davy Jones, struggling to grow comfortable in his human skin. He still limps carefully, but seems to be enjoying his relative anonymity]

D'yeh have a moment to spare for an old sailor, m'lady?

[With a snarl, Davy goes to turn on his camera...and hesitates. He's still in human garb, after all. Finally, he just twists the camera to put himself behind it and turn it on the offending party;

A cat.

A Maine Coon, to be exact, sitting rather neatly on the end of Davy's sea chest and staring at him with the judgmental stare only a cat can bring]

I told him. I told him I neither wanted nor needed a pet!

[Private Voice]

[Well that certainly is a cat. A big one too, though still clearly a domestic breed. ]

And you expected him to listen?

[Really, Jones, he's a Warden. Why are you even surprised? ]

[Private Voice]

[The cat remains unimpressed by the sputtering, enraged Davy. It licks a paw, watching both him and Sylvanas on the screen behind him]

I expected him not t'trust me with another living creature!

[Private Voice]

If you don't want it, give it back to him.

[Private Voice]

If he didn't listen to me about getting it, why would he take it back?

[Notice in no way did Davy say he didn't want it]

[Private Voice]

Your choices are limited, Captain. You can dump the cat at his feet, or you can keep it.

[Sorry, she's not going to volunteer to take the cat in. She already has a pet she's not mentally capable of properly caring for. ]

[Private Voice]

[He continues to glare at the cat, who stares back, silent and reserved]

What do I do with it? If I aim to...keep it.

[Private Voice]

Feed it. Clean up after it. Give in to it's demands for attention.

[Hey it's a cat. What did you expect her to say?]

[Private Voice]

[He scowls at it, making a swipe with his arms in the hopes of driving it off the seachest. The cat leans back, but otherwise doesn't bat an eye]

It'll get underfoot. An' it won't appreciate water.

[Private Voice]

I believe you're giving this argument to the wrong person.

[He pauses, accepting the truth of this statement]

...Aye. I'll be taking this up with my warden. He won't be getting away with this.

[Private Voice]
