I am dead. I have lived decades more'n any man, I have lost my pet, my ship, my crew, my love, if I ever had it, and now my freedom.


Yeh know nothing of it.

I am... a plant... that thought it was... a man. Nothing... is what I... thought it was. I have... been living... a lie. Death... is long. There is... time.

Yeh don't want to be a man. Men only feel heartbreak and are good for little else.

Men... feel love... hope... joy... despair. They are... capable... of much.

It is preferable to feel nothing at all.

It... is not your choice... what you feel... or do not feel.

It is my choice not to feel. I tore my heart out decades ago.

I do not know... how such a thing... is possible. I never had... a beating heart.
