Pardon the intrusion of an old pirate captain, but I believe I've requested to see his grace the Admiral, if he so deigns to get his fat arse off the bridge and address my concerns.

Bah - you think a day's stay in the brig will ease th' way of our voyage together? You think your pathetic lot of untested boys, women and slaves is enough to keep Davy Jones at bay for long? You're more of a fool than I'd taken you for.

And the next bilge rat what comes down here prattling on about inmates and other worlds is the next I mark for death.

I would use the word 'cowardly' as opposed to wise. Wisdom would involve a far stricter structure to this prison. Which is why his Wardens are routinely and so easily slain.

And yet he cannot even bring himself to come out to investigate. I may not have been the best captain that ever lived, but at least I would have had the sense to stop harm that came to my crew.

You're assuming that he cares. From his distance and his rather cavalier behavior towards his own inept ability to pilot this junk heap, this is more of his own private amusement. The premise is merely so we focus on each other, rather than on him.

He has been usurped before. Overridden by a half mechanical girl. If that is possible, then he is not so inaccessible as they would have us believe.

I am unfamiliar with technologies. Unreliable things in general. You would have to ask her, if she is willing to talk. She used to be one of the jailors prior to that little stunt. But the general idea of it was she attached herself into the controls.
