Pardon the intrusion of an old pirate captain, but I believe I've requested to see his grace the Admiral, if he so deigns to get his fat arse off the bridge and address my concerns.

Bah - you think a day's stay in the brig will ease th' way of our voyage together? You think your pathetic lot of untested boys, women and slaves is enough to keep Davy Jones at bay for long? You're more of a fool than I'd taken you for.

And the next bilge rat what comes down here prattling on about inmates and other worlds is the next I mark for death.

Why are you "marking him for death"?

Because he owes me my freedom, and to a ship's captain, no freedom is death.

I know being stuck here isn't exactly a picnic, but believe me, it's a lot better than plenty of other brigs you might've wound up stuck in.

I am not here to compare one brig to another! I am here to argue my case, as after I've cast aside the chains I have been shackled with only to have them replaced with another, stronger set!

So, what's your case?

I have done my duty, and I am owed proper oblivion.

What duty is that?

I have captained my ship, I have obeyed those who would think to call themselves my masters, and when their guard was down I obtained my freedom and slaughtered them all.

Right. The Admiral usually isn't a fan of that kind of thing. Why'd you kill them?

They used me. They captured what was most precious to me and they used me as their weapon and their slave.

Sorry for the twenty questions, but, why? Just trying to figure out what we're working with, here.

Then it pains me to tell you that if it were in my power, I'd keelhaul every last man, woman, and child on this barge in order to return to where I belong.

That's a pretty common thing around here. But if you wanna get outta here, the less keelhauling, the better.

You're here to learn how to be a better person, and murdering and torturing people all over the place is just gonna mean you're stuck here for who knows how long.

I know it's kinda presumptuous, and you're probably not gonna have an easy time accepting it, but it's seriously the fastest way to get outta here. Murdering people isn't gonna get you anywhere.

It's gonna be kinda hard to explain, but basically it's like... if you've got some problem, you talk with someone about it and come up with a plan to deal with it in a better way? I know it sounds ridiculous, but it does work, sometimes. A lot of the time, actually, and that's kinda what the wardens here are trying to do.
