1st Wave

[Down in the depths of Zero sits a sulking, furious squid creature, wrapping his tentacle-like hand around his communicator. Davy Jones has been looking it over for the past day, and is thus far unimpressed. A way to talk to the rest of the crew? What was the point? They had nothing worthwhile to discuss]

Pardon the intrusion of an old pirate captain, but I believe I've requested to see his grace the Admiral, if he so deigns to get his fat arse off the bridge and address my concerns.

Bah - you think a day's stay in the brig will ease th' way of our voyage together? You think your pathetic lot of untested boys, women and slaves is enough to keep Davy Jones at bay for long? You're more of a fool than I'd taken you for.

And the next bilge rat what comes down here prattling on about inmates and other worlds is the next I mark for death.

Riddick - I name ye. Dean Winchester - I name ye too.

And where does Corporal Maladicta rank? She is one of Borogravia's finest, you know.

There are worse fates than that. But seeing as how you were so kind to name my Corporal, I would be happy to provide you with the written word of women. I promise you'll find it equal to our spoken word. In fact, I'd say it's even better since you can read it again whenever you'd like.

That's assuming that squidmen are able to read, of course. But if you're not, there's no shame in it. I know of many ruperts struggle with their letters and they're all quite obviously very well-educated, enlightened, and successful individuals.

Then you know any decent Captain worth his socks knows how to listen, sir.
pvtparts: (⋙ this is it)

[personal profile] pvtparts 2013-07-18 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
To who, sir. Not what, sir.
pvtparts: i'm radioactive (⋙ enough to make my systems blow)

[personal profile] pvtparts 2013-07-18 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
A great deal, sir. But it would seem you do not often think to ask, sir. An understandable mistake, sir, see it all the time.

It's a sign of respect where I'm from, sir. You are a higher-ranking officer than myself, sir.

Sergeant, sir.

[And though Polly says this as though reporting back on the current weather conditions, she's 100% confident she's smarter and far more capable than Jones. So, let him mock it. She ain't bovvered.]

[personal profile] pvtparts 2013-07-18 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
With all due respect, sir, [aka none. But he doesn't need to know that.] I go where I'm needed and where I please.
pvtparts: (⋙ i feel it in my bones)

[personal profile] pvtparts 2013-07-18 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course, sir.

If circumstances should change, sir, please don't hesitate to call for my corporal or myself. We'd be happen to assist, sir.

It will still stand, Captain, for how ever long you're aboard the Barge.

[Aaww, she got a death threat.]

In that hypothetical situation, I'd imagine it would be after the death toll, sir.
