Pardon the intrusion of an old pirate captain, but I believe I've requested to see his grace the Admiral, if he so deigns to get his fat arse off the bridge and address my concerns.

Bah - you think a day's stay in the brig will ease th' way of our voyage together? You think your pathetic lot of untested boys, women and slaves is enough to keep Davy Jones at bay for long? You're more of a fool than I'd taken you for.

And the next bilge rat what comes down here prattling on about inmates and other worlds is the next I mark for death.

I feel like two days does not really incur debt at the level of publicized murder. I once spent a week trapped in a waistcoat pocket!

Well, trapped might be a bit strong. But it would have given my mistress quite a shock if I'd popped out early, and that was no way to start things off.

[She tilts her head, somehow manages to convey the equivalent of a shrug.]

You couldn't get ahold of me.

Couldn't I? I doubt that.

[There's a huff of breath - not quite a laugh, but close.]

And how many years have you before the mast, Pup?

[She scratches one of her ears with a back paw.]

All my memories from before a thousand years ago are a little bit hazy.

Oh! No. Two days. I'm quite excited about it.

[Mockingly]

You must be quite the expert after two entire days aboard this ship.

[dogwalksyou]

[And she, by contrast, is even-keeled and sincere.]

On the ship, not at all. But I know myself, and in all the worlds I've wandered, I've never met anything that could leash me unless I allowed it.

Perhaps you will be the exception! But I would be very much surprised.

Do I? It seems to me that I'm one of the only people taking you even a little bit seriously.

But then, I am the Disreputable Dog. Not generally the best with other people's patience, me.
